£77m boost for zero-emission heavy vehicle vehicle research

Projects seeking to create zero-emission emergency service vehicles are among the schemes to receive £77m in finding for clean transport technologies.

The HYER POWER project, to develop a hydrogen fuel-cell range extender for specialist electric vehicles in demanding roles like fire engines and ambulances, is one of seven pieces of work across the UK that are getting joint government and industry backing.
