The North Wales Transport Commission will recommend an intensification of local train services in North-east Wales, its chair indicated at the Local Transport Summit in Cardiff.

Former Treasury permanent secretary Lord Burns was the guest speaker at the summit dinner. He led the commission which recommended on alternatives to building the M4 Relief Road around Newport.
