Ultra-rapid charging grew 40% in the first half of 2022, says Zap-Map

There has been an uptick in on-street charging provision while high-speed charger roll out gathers pace, according to Zap-Map. The EV charging app has published new mid-year figures for chargepoint installations in 2022.

As of the end of June 2022, Zap-Map’s data shows that the number of ultra-rapid charge points, which cater to drivers travelling long journeys and looking to charge up as quickly as possible, has grown almost 40% since the end of 2021.
