Buckinghamshire Council has appointed Irish firm Zipp Mobility to deliver e-scooter rental trials in Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
The 12-month trials are expected to launch next month.
Geofencing will prevent the scooters being used in pedestrian areas or on major roads. The maximum speed will be 15.5mph but ‘slow zones’ will be designated by geofencing. Parking zones for e-scooters will be marked on the streets.
