The Road Haulage Association wants councils to suspend a range of regulatory measures covering the freight sector. It has asked for: at least a six-month deferral of clean air zones; a similar length of deferral for London’s direct vision standard for safer lorries; suspension of London’s low and ultra-low emission zones. In addition, it wants the Government to cut fuel duty and tolls to be reduced on the M6 Toll in the West Midlands.
