Powers to create joint committees for transport and also strategic planning feature in the Welsh Government’s Local Government and Elections (Wales) Bill.

The Bill gives ministers the power to establish, via regulations, corporate joint committees (CJCs) covering four service areas: transport, strategic planning, economic development, and school improvement.
