Thurrock Council is grappling with a big cost increase on the A13 widening project.
Main construction works began in March to widen the A13 Stanford le Hope bypass from two to three lanes in each direction between the A128 junction in the west and the A1014 in the east. The works will create a continuous three-lane dual carriageway from the M25 to Stanford le Hope.
