Transport for London is pitching to deliver more transport project work on behalf of boroughs, undertaking activities that are currently done by council officers or consultants. It is also advising boroughs against using “costly consultants” to prepare bids for a TfL funding stream.
TfL’s offer is set out in a letter sent to boroughs last week by Penny Rees, head of network sponsorship in the surface transport directorate.
