Transport for the West Midlands’ proposal to close up to 90 bus stops on routes in south Birmingham represents an imaginative way of trying to deliver faster bus journeys. TfWM says ad hoc requests for new bus stops from passengers and local councillors over the years, as well as changes to land use, have created an over-supply of stops.
