Work on east of Bath P&R site abandoned

04 August 2017

Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) has dropped a controversial plan to build a bus-based park-and-ride site in the green belt east of Bath.

In January councillors authorised the preparation of a business case and planning application for an 800-space site on grazing meadows abutting the A4 between Bath and Batheaston (LTT03 Mar).  The site lies adjacent to a railway and B&NES had long-term aspirations to build a railway station to serve the facility.
