The implications of generational changes to travel behaviour are being considered in research for the DfT.
Data on car use shows that young adults are driving much less than previous generations. The DfT has commissioned Kiron Chatterjee, an associate professor in travel behaviour at University of West of England’s Centre for Transport and Society, to assess the causes and implications of the change.
