Norfolk County Council is proposing a £24m (20%) local contribution to the estimated £120m outturn cost of a new river crossing at Great Yarmouth, which will provide access into the town from the south. The Great Yarmouth Third River Crossing project features a dual carriageway from the A12 Harfreys roundabout to the town via a lifting bridge over the River Yare.
