Transport for London has dropped plans to grow the capital’s bus patronage and is instead planning for demand to fall 2.3% next year.

TfL’s five-year business plan published last December said that, to achieve its financial milestones, public transport use would have to increase in the short-run, “primarily by attracting customers back to the bus service” (LTT 16 Dec 16).
