Transport Scotland has offered to increase its funding contribution to a new rail station at Kintore, Aberdeenshire, on the Inverness-Aberdeen line, from 50% to 60%. At 60% the contribution would be £7.3m towards the £12.2m (2016 prices) cost, which includes a 40% optimism bias adjustment (LTT 25 Nov).
