Lincolnshire sets up company to deliver passenger transport

Lincolnshire County Council has established a wholly-owned council company, TransportConnect, to deliver public transport and specialist transport in the county. 

A council spokesman told LTT: “The key purpose for establishing TransportConnect Ltd is primarily for market moderation reasons, initially related to:

• the market not providing a sufficient commercial network to meet all transport demands of rural communities (commercial services) and

• insufficient market...
