THE COMMENTS by Michael Renshaw of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) in the last issue give councillors a very misleading picture of the true facts about buses in the conurbation (“Bus deregulation ‘failing to deliver for Greater Manchester’,” LTT 24 Jun).
Reimbursement for the seniors pass is not a subsidy and should not be referred to as such. It is like asking the publishers to provide a free copy of LTT to all seniors. I’m sure they would be happy...
