Diesels targeted in TfL’s plan for an Ultra-Low Emission Zone

Millions of diesel vehicle owners will have to pay an extra charge if they drive in central London from 2020 under Transport for London’s plan for an Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). 

Consultation on the plan began this week. The zone would cover the same geographical area as the central London congestion charge and apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Vehicles driven in the area would have to meet exhaust standards or pay a daily charge of £12.50 (cars) or £100...
