Over 1,000 local authority vehicles from buses to fire engines will be cleaner and greener after transport minister Baroness Susan Kramer announced the successful bidders for the Government’s £5 Clean Vehicle Technology Fund (CVTF).

Seventeen local authorities have been awarded grants for a wide variety of cutting-edge, pollution reducing technologies that will now be fitted to 1,080 vehicles.
