HS2 stations ‘in the wrong place’

Every station proposed on the Government’s high-speed rail network is in the wrong place, according to the Conservative Party’s transport group. 

The group has highlighted its concerns in a letter to Lord Deighton, chair of the HS2 Growth Taskforce. 

The Tories list three essential criteria for the non-airport stations: that they are built as through stations, in the city centre, and are fully integrated with the local transport network.
