Vandals have blown up parking machines for the eighth successive year in Lewes, East Sussex. Fireworks were set off in two pay & display machines in the market town on 18 October, causing damage totalling £2,900, said Sussex Police. The attacks started after on-street parking was introduced in 2004.
Vandals carried out 15 attacks on 14 parking meters in the town between September and November last year. Explosives were placed inside the machines and blowing them up.
