Ken Livingstone this week pledged to oppose the Government’s HS2 route in London and cancel Boris Johnson’s New Bus for London project if he is elected mayor on 3 May.
Livingstone said he wanted a high-speed rail route that wouldn’t demolish hundreds of London homes. He described the New Bus for London as Johnson’s “vanity project”. The first vehicle only went into service at the end of February.
