Aberdeen City Council has announced the first auction of a vehicle for unpaid parking tickets. The VW Golf, with a 2002 number plate, was impounded on 7 September 2011.
The car’s owner had 10 outstanding PCNS costing £870, plus the £150 impound fee and a £20 per day car pound charge. In total more than £2,800 is now outstanding.
Checks were made with the DVLA and letters were sent to the owner explaining that the car was to be sold.
