LEP fleshes out M42 corridor strategy

Plans for a major programme of transport improvements in the M42 corridor in the West Midlands have been outlined by the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.

The LEP wants the Government to designate the M42 Economic Gateway as a pilot for Tax Increment Financing (TIF), whereby infrastructure investments would be funded by the resultant uplift in business rates within an area.
