Osborne questions Climate Change Act

The Chancellor, George Osborne, this week raised questions about Britain’s long-term target to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 80% by 2050 (against 1990 levels). Osborne told the Conservative Party conference in Manchester that Britain would not cut CO2 any faster than its European counterparts.
