Network Rail launches new devolved business structure

Network Rail has taken the first steps in devolving power from head office with the launch of its first new-style business units in Scotland and Wessex. The regional units’ new responsibilities include safety, all customer service matters, asset management spending and outputs, operations, planning and delivering maintenance, and some renewals and enhancements.
