Barclays Cycle Hire operator Serco today began work on a 124-space 'super' cycle hire docking station close to the main entrance of Waterloo station.

The new station will be the biggest yet for the London cycle hire scheme, which now has more than 100,000 members, and aims to cut problems with cycle availability at peak periods around the station.
