Transport for London has opened what it claims is Britain’s largest and greenest bus garage in East London.
The new West Ham garage boasts a range of eco-friendly features, including a wind turbine and biomass heating system, and will house 320 buses. The garage is predicted to cut CO2 emissions by 27% when compared to a building built with traditional materials.
