RATP, the Paris public transport authority, has concluded negotiations with French utilities giant Veolia and Caisse des Dépôts, the parent company of Transdev, that will see the operator relinquish its stake in Transdev in return for a number of the two groups' assets.

The deal to acquire the assets is part of the merger process between Veolia's transport business and Transdev. RATP held a 25.66% stake in Transdev and,
