Calls growing for fundamental review of capital’s costly bus network

Boris Johnson is facing growing calls for a ‘root and branch’ review of the capital’s bus network, partly to find ways of cutting the £574m annual subsidy bill.

Business lobby group London First and consultant Colin Buchanan both call for reviews in their respective responses to the mayor’s draft transport strategy published last autumn.
