Winners named in DfT’s £30m Green Bus Fund

Transport for London, Stagecoach and Greater Manchester PTE were this week named as the recipients of the largest shares of the DfT’s £30m Green Bus Fund for hybrid and electric vehicles.

Greater Manchester will receive £3.1m to fund 66 new hybrid vehicles for use on the free Metroshuttle services in Manchester city centre (20), Yellow School Bus services (16), and subsidised services (30).

Transport for London has been awarded almost the maximum amount available to any bidder...
