Powys County Council has brought forward a review of its policy of switching off selected street lights at night following what the council says is “a substantial amount of discontent with the current policy”.
The review involves consulting town and community councils in the county on a number of lighting strategies that can achieve similar savings using alternative patterns of lighting switch off.
