Hannah Ross is to move to Scottish Rail Holdings (SRH) as new Chief Executive at the end of September. She is currently Head of Major Projects and Commissioning at City of Edinburgh Council.
She will lead the arm’s length company, which was set up and is owned by the Scottish Government. It has responsibility for the ownership and oversight of both ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper, after their transfer into public ownership in April 2022 and June 2023 respectively.
Ross played a key role in the Trams to Newhaven project overseeing the construction, testing, and commissioning of the project prior to opening last year.
