It’s time to ‘slow ho ho’ down, young Santas tell drivers

17 December 2018

A group of roadside Santas joined the City of London Police last week to launch a Christmas Road Safety campaign. Using handheld speed cameras, pupils from Sir John Cass and St Paul’s Cathedral Schools recorded several vehicles exceeding 30mph although there is a 20mph limit in the City.

The City of London Corporation’s Road Danger Reduction Plan seeks to achieve Vision Zero – an end to all deaths and serious injuries on London's transport system - which is key part of the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy.

The Corporation is currently consulting on its Transport Strategy, which includes proposals for a 15mph limit across the Square Mile by 2022.
