European Court of Justice rules Uber is a transport company

Uber is a transport company and not a digital service, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled today. The case followed a complaint by taxi drivers in Barcelona, Spain, that the US ride-hailing company was circumventing licensing rules.
