We will keep fares down while investing in 'world class infrastructure' says London mayor

Day-to-day operating costs at Transport for London were reduced by £153m for the last financial year, exceeding budgeted operating cost savings by more than £138m, the organisation has reported in its updated Business Plan.

Along with fares being frozen, TfL said the plan protects all travel concessions, with free or discounted travel for those who need it most, including children, people aged over 60, and those on income support.
