The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has set out criteria for what drivers should expect from vehicles described as ‘automated’ and will task Thatcham Research with assessing any car marketed as ‘automated’ or ‘driverless’ against its 10 new criteria. The ABI’s announcement comes in reaction to the Automated and Electric Vehicle Bill, which is currently being considered by Parliament.
