More than 20,000 HGV drivers have now taken the Safe Urban Driving course designed to highlight the risks faced by cyclists and pedestrians, Transport for London (TfL) has reported.
The course, created and funded by TfL in 2011, is free to Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) participants.
Safe Urban Driving contributes to the 35 hours training that is required of HGV drivers under the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
