Lancs bypass scheme will allocate more space for cycling

Improved cycle routes will feature in a scheme that will see a new bypass built near the village of Broughton in Lancashire. Complementary improvements, which will cost around £1m, will include allocating more road space to cyclists and pedestrians on the A6 corridor.

Work has started on constructing the Broughton Bypass, which will cut traffic travelling through the village by up to 90%, estimates the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP). The new road, next to the A6, will also help...
