EVA England has teamed up with OVO

Electric vehicle drivers' association EVA England has launched a partnership with energy supplier OVO to provide its members access to more affordable and convenient electric vehicle charging.

By partnering with OVO, the association aims to help reduce the cost of public charging, particularly for drivers without access to home charging, while supporting wider confidence in the transition to electric.

EVA England members can now access three months of OVO’s Light Boost subscription at no cost through its OVO Charge app, helping drivers take advantage of discounted public charging costs.

The OVO Charge app offers access to more than 50,000 chargers in the UK and 400,000 across Europe.

By using the Light Boost subscription, the partnership enables members to benefit from a 10% discount on every public charge on charging networks like Osprey, MFG, InstaVolt, Fastned, and Ionity, alongside exclusive rewards and real-time charging updates.?EVA England represents the real-world experience of EV drivers, with a focus on tackling the practical barriers that still hold people back from switching, particularly cost and access to affordable charging.

Dr Vicky Edmonds, chief executive of EVA England, said: “This partnership with OVO is about putting practical savings into drivers’ hands. Reducing the cost of public charging can make a real difference to the cost of running an EV, and offers like this help more people feel confident about making the switch.

“OVO’s focus on simple, affordable charging is exactly what EV drivers are looking for, and we’re proud to be working together to help more people access the benefits of electric driving.”

Alex Thwaites, director of EV at OVO, said: “We know that for many EV drivers, the cost of public charging is a top priority, and at OVO, we believe that the transition to EVs must be affordable and accessible for everyone, regardless of where they live or how they charge.

“Our partnership with EVA England is about more than just a discount; it’s about providing a seamless, cost-effective charging experience that gives drivers the confidence to switch to electric with total confidence.”
