Plans to create the blueprint for a Swiss-style integrated public transport network in the Peak District have been proposed by a grantee of the charity Foundation for Integrated Transport (FIT).
The grantee wants to trial a ‘demonstrator’ project in Derbyshire’s Hope Valley. The proposals have been developed by a volunteer-led team.
The trial would show how rural public transport could be reliable, integrated, easy to use, and capable of moving trips away from the car.
