Coventry City Council has approved the installation of an 800m twin track Very Light Rail demonstrator. This marks the next stage in the council’s plan to roll out a “cost-effective and efficient” tram network across the city.
The test route, linking Coventry Railway Station and Coventry University Technology Park and running in both directions and in live traffic, is due to be installed by March 2027.
