A new EV charging hub has opened at Etruria Mills in Stoke-on-Trent.
The hub’s 12 150kW ultra-rapid DC charging bays will typically charge an electric vehicle to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, which gives drivers time to enjoy some shopping or a bite to eat at Nandos, Wagamama, Costa or any of the other eateries at Etruria Mills.
The chargers are compatible with all major EV models and networks, ensuring broad accessibility and convenience for all users.
Andrew McDaniel is founding partner at Meadow Partners, which owns Etruria Mills in partnership with Roadside Real Estate. “Demand for roadside drive-thru and quick service retail is rapidly growing across the UK,” he said. “As electric vehicle use increases, we are pleased to enhance the service offering at Eturia Mills by adding critical EV charging hubs in addition to its compelling commercial shopping and dining spaces.”
The EV hub has been funded and installed by RAW. Neil Broadbank, chief commercial officer of RAW Charging, said, “We’re delighted to support improved EV infrastructure in Stoke. Last year there were already over 1.3 million fully electric vehicles on UK roads, and this is set to hit around 12 million by 2030 - 55% of all vehicles on the road.
“As electric vehicles become an integral part of everyday transport, initiatives like the Etruria Mills charging hub are vital in supporting drivers and reducing environmental impact across the UK.”
