1,250 Trojan Energy kerbside chargers are live in Barnet

Trojan Energy has completed the second phase of its on-street EV charging roll-out, meaning there are now 1,250 on-street chargepoints live north London borough.

Trojan, which is working in partnership with Barnet Council, has installed a further 790 kerbside chargepoints across more than 70 residential streets.  This follows the deployment of 463 chargepoints in 2022.

The kerbside units provide an accessible charging solution for residents, especially those without access to off-street parking. Trojan Energy’s flat-and-flush chargepoints sit completely level with the pavement when not in use. This design ensures that footpaths remain clear and accessible for all users, a key consideration in densely populated urban areas. 

The project forms part of Barnet Council’s wider climate action strategy, aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and encouraging uptake of zero-emission transport across the borough.
