Rupert Furness has moved from DfT’s Micromobility, Active Travel and Local Highways division to head up a new Roads Investment, Strategy and Environment Division in DfT’s Roads Strategy Directorate. Furness has been at the DfT for 22 years in a range of roles including Deputy Director, Head of Active and Accessible Travel and Head of London Transport Division.
Prior to that he spent five years at the Department of Transport as Head of Environmental Strategy.
