Fuel retailer to offer EV charging on forecourts

Fuel retailer JET is offering electric vehicle charging on its UK forecourts. JET Charge, an own-brand and ultra-rapid charging proposition, forms part of JET’s strategy to diversify and evolve its offering and meet the increased demand for accessible EV infrastructure in the UK.

Nidec Conversion, an international provider of power conversion solutions, to roll-out of Nidec EV chargers with Battery (Multi) across JET branded forecourts. The first installation has already been completed at Brentford Services with other sites scheduled for roll-out throughout 2025.

JET Charge, which began rolling out in 2024, features ultra-rapid EV chargers up to 400kW. With the specific aim of streamlining the motorist experience, it operates a pay-as-you-go pricing model with no minimum spend and does not require an app or a subscription.

JET is the retail arm of energy provider Phillips 66. Steve Jackson, business development lead at Phillips 66, said: “JET is a driver-first brand, committed to offering a first-class service to all drivers. We are happy to be working with Nidec to implement our EV offer.”
