Improvements to Gatwick Airport rail station are due to open on 21 November, with a second concourse and airport entrance that will double the space for passengers. Operator Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) said eight new escalators and five new lifts will provide a ‘step change’ for accessibility. Widened platforms will meanwhile help passengers move with their luggage between the station and the airport terminals more quickly and easily.
