Hendy reappointed chair of Network Rail

Peter Hendy has been reappointed as the chair of Network Rail to serve a further two years.

As chair of the board, he will continue to oversee Network Rail’s budget to run 20,000 miles of railway track and provide services for passengers and freight customers across England, Scotland and Wales.

He had held a place on Network Rail’s board since 2015, and said he will seek to ensure “continuity and a smooth transition” to Great British Railways (GBR), the Government’s proposed new public body.
