Transport for the North strategy sets out plan to install 470 chargepoints per week

Transport for the North (TfN) has launched a regional Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) Framework.

The data-driven approach takes advantage of a TfN analytical engine to capture road user, socio-economic, land-use and housing data in one place for the first time, to provide a comprehensive and consistent view of electric vehicle charging needs across the region.

There are currently around 8,000 public chargepoints across the North, 5% of the 161,000 charging connections needed...
