The number of inter-city Megabus tickets sold by Stagecoach during last week’s rail strikes was 85% higher than the previous week, the coach operator has reported. Stagecoach has a network of 7,300 buses and coaches covering around 100 towns and cities in England, Scotland and Wales.
Just 20% of rail services in England were running during the rail strikes on 21, 23 and 25 June.
