A company planning the mass production of electric vehicle batteries in the UK has secured government funding for a proposed factory in Northumberland.
The UK government has committed about £100m to the Britishvolt gigafactory in Cambois via its Automotive Transformation Fund.
Britishvolt also announced backing from investors Tritax and Abrdn, that should unlock about £1.7bn in private funding.
